Cory Cooper

Coach Cooper can do it all...almost. A life-long athlete, he is an inspiring coach and teacher of football, basketball, baseball, golf, volleyball, hockey, tennis, pole vaulting, steeplechase, rowing, fencing, figure skating and skeet shooting...but don't ask him to play soccer.  Not his thing.  He was so successful in his first year as an assistant coach of the Harvard-Westlake seventh grade football team that his contract was renewed for next season.  An overgrown kid himself, Cooper dives into his weekday classes then resurfaces on weekends for a rigorous schedule of private lessons and birthday parties.  This is a man dedicated to his craft.  Newly-nuptialed to the brilliant and supportive Mary, Cooper remains an unrepentant fan of the Indianapolis Colts and considers his ideal fall Sunday to be lounging around with his spouse and trusty companion Stokely (the Maltese) cheering for every Peyton Manning TD.  An accomplished quarterback himself, Cooper has been the centerpiece of the nine years running Jungle Bowl, a Playa del Rey Thanksgiving fixture.  Coach Cooper is always ready for anything...except soccer.
